COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Standing out among a crowd of exceptional roughstock requires a perfect balance of animal athleticism and the cowboys capable of showcasing that talent. The 2022 "Pendleton Whisky's Let 'er Buck Bucking Stock of the Year Awards" is recognized as follows:

Bareback Riding Horse of the Year
1st – Gun Fire, Frontier Rodeo
2nd –OLS Tubs Stevie Nicks, Macza Pro Rodeo
3rd –Famous Dex, Brookman Rodeo

Frontier Rodeo Company is beyond excited and couldn't be more blessed with the news that 16 Gun Fire has been named the 2022 PRCA Bareback Horse of the Year! Gun Fire is a 12-year-old ranch-raised mare out of Frontier Rodeo's foundation stud Big Medicine and Smoke Gun. This makes our eighth PRCA Horse of the Year win, with 6 of them being ranch-raised horses (3 different horses). Gun Fire was the 2021 Reserve PRCA Bareback Horse of the Year, the 2nd place horse of the 2021 WNFR, and she's taken many cowboys to the pay window with 90+ rides.

It was also an honor to have our bull 618 Gladiator's Hammer on the list as the 3rd place PRCA Bucking Bull of the Year!

Congratulations to each company with an animal on this list, as they are some of the best four-legged athletes in rodeo.
