We had 13 head of livestock selected to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo and 2 saddle horses; Boomer and the calm blue roan, Top Hand, who was used as the timed event flag horse.  He’s making it big time on TikTok all by himself.  We saw people post videos about how calm he is and that nothing bothered him.

Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada we were named the 2025 PRCA Stock Contractor of the Year for the 11th consecutive time.  This one is special; it puts us at the top with Stace Smith/Smith Pro Rodeo and the late great -HV Harry Vold/Harry Vold Rodeo Company.  Both men are well respected in the rodeo industry and we’re happy to put our name next to theirs.  Earlier this summer, owner Jerry Nelson had the opportunity to purchase his heroes rodeo company, formally Harry Vold Rodeo Co that his daughter Kirsten took over after Harry’s passing.  This will be great addition to Frontier Rodeo, we’re honored to own the legendary company and wish Kirsten all the BEST in her next chapter of life!

Frontier animals took cowboys to the pay window eight times during the WNFR, winning a total of $135,928 on our four-legged athletes.  Eight of the twelve horses selected to the WNFR this year are ranch raised, something we’re very proud of.  It’s a long road when raising bucking stock and when they finally prove themselves and get to the top it’s a great honor!  They placed on Saddle Bronc, 803 Frontier Medicine twice, Zeke Thurston split 6th with an 87-point ride in the 1st round and Kade Bruno won 2nd in the 6th round with an 89-point ride, this was her 1st trip to the National Finals Rodeo.  They also placed twice on ranch raised Bareback, 28 Painted Smoke and Bull 16, Frontier Rodeo Coffee Bailey’s Brew.  Bareback, 701 Breaking News helped Wacey Schalla add to his All-Around money with a 3rd place finish in round 5 good enough for $21,882.  And last but certainly not least, Bareback 215-, 23-year-old Full Baggage.  We can’t say enough about this outstanding animal athlete.  He’s a 2X PRCA Bareback Horse of the Year, 3X Bareback Horse of the NFR, they’ve won 6 go-rounds on him, he’s been selected to the NFR 19 times and in his final trip out of the iconic yellow bucking chutes he and Waylon Bourgeois matched up for an 85.5-point ride and a 4th place check.  Full Baggage is officially retired and will live a very comfortable life on the Frontier Ranch in Freedom, OK

Congratulations to pickup man, Shawn “Too Tall” Calhoun, on being selected as alternate pickup man at the WNFR and for his 2nd win as PRCA Pickup Man of the Year!  We would like to thank our families, friends and our outstanding Frontier Rodeo crew for another successful year!  Thank you to the rodeo committees that hire us, to the contestants that enter our rodeos and the RODEO FANS!  Thank you to our sponsors, American Hat Company, Justin Boots and Cinch Jeans for keeping our crew looking sharp in and out of the arena. To Frontier Rodeo Coffee Company for keeping us fueled, especially during the two weeks in Las Vegas.  Thank you, Wild West Ford for the truck that gets us up and down the road to each rodeo.  To Century Products for some of the best livestock products around and Polylast Global for our four-legged animals comfortable flooring during the long hauls.   None of this would be possible without all of you!  Thank you to Las Vegas Events and the PRCA for the greatest 10 days in rodeo!

Congratulations to the 2025 World Champions! We’ll see you at a Frontier rodeo in 2026.
