Frontier Rodeo Company has been awarded the prestigious Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Stock Contractor of the Year award at the PRCA Awards Banquet in Las Vegas, NV ahead of the 2023 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. This is the ninth consecutive year that Frontier Rodeo Company owner Jerry Nelson has taken this award.
The Stock Contractor of the Year award is given by the PRCA to a stock contracting firm of the highest caliber and has proven this in rodeo production, livestock, and rodeo company’s professionalism. The PRCA membership votes on the award.
Nelson was humbled and heaped praise on those around him when asked about the achievement. “I thank my wife and children for the crazy life I lead. And it may say Jerry Nelson’s Frontier Rodeo Company, but I owe a lot of our success to Rodeo Manager, Heath Stewart. Frontier Rodeo Company has a full staff and it takes every one of them to make this possible.”
“2023 has been another great year for us and we’re grateful for the support and enthusiasm of the entire rodeo community - from the rodeo committees and our sponsors to the contestants and the fans, Nelson said.”
Frontier Rodeo Company has consistently produced top-ranking stock since 2005 and has been nominated for PRCA Stock Contractor of the Year since 2012.
This year, Frontier Rodeo had 14 head of livestock selected to the 2023 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, NV.
The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is scheduled for December 7-16, 2023, at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, NV. The Cowboy Channel and RFD-TV will carry all ten performances of the WNFR live.
