Frontier Rodeo Company has again been awarded the prestigious Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Stock Contractor of the Year award at the PRCA Awards Banquet in Las Vegas, Nevada, ahead of the 2022 PRCA National Finals Rodeo. 2022 marks the eighth consecutive year that Frontier Rodeo Company owner Jerry Nelson has taken this award, making Frontier Rodeo Company one of the most successful stock contractors in the history of the PRCA.
The Stock Contractor of the Year award is given by the PRCA to a stock contracting firm of the highest caliber and has proven this in rodeo production, livestock, and the rodeo company's professionalism. The PRCA membership votes on the award.
Once again, Nelson recognized the entire Frontier Rodeo Company family when asked about the achievement. "Frontier Rodeo's success is truly a team effort, and we wouldn't be here today without the support and hard work of my wife Beverly and children. I'm incredibly grateful for my extended Frontier Rodeo family. And my Rodeo Manager, Heath Stewart, is the team leader who makes all this possible.
"I also want to give thanks for the support and enthusiasm of the entire rodeo community – from the rodeo committees and our sponsors to the contestants and the fans," Nelson said.
Frontier Rodeo Company has consistently produced top-ranking stock since 2005 and has been nominated PRCA Stock Contractor of the Year since 2012.
This year, Frontier Rodeo had 13 head of livestock selected to take to the 2022 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, including the 2022 PRCA Bareback Riding Horse of the Year, Gun Fire.
The National Finals Rodeo runs from December 1-10, 2022, at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Cowboy Channel and RFD-TV will carry all ten performances of the NFR live. Live coverage of the NFR can be found on The Cowboy Channel and RFD-TV through its cable and satellite partners, and online at cowboychannelplus.com.
